We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that donated in memory of Duncan. We managed to raise £1000 and the funds have been donated to The Woodland Trust and they have dedicated an acre of woodland at Miltonrigg Woods in Cumbria in memory of Duncan.
Duncan Campbell Cavens, his life was full of family, travels, friends, fun, animals and laughter.
What a man, what a Son, what a Brother, what a Nephew, what a Cousin, what a Friend, what a Husband, what a Dad, what a Grandad; happy, kind, mischievous, intelligent, generous, funny, lovely, spirited and full of beans. He will be with us always in our thoughts, our memories and in our hearts.
Duncan had a passion for the environment and the world is a better place because of him. One of his great loves was to plant trees; he and Eileen have passionately invested in the regeneration of woodlands, creating a better world for us to live in. What better way to remember Duncan than to plant trees, so please help us to decorate this lovely planet that Duncan so adored. As Duncan casts his benevolent eye down on us, he will simply think “That’s Grand”.
So, like Duncan, let’s plant some trees, spread kindness, happiness and bonhomie around our world.
In honour of a beautiful soul, Duncan Campbell Cavens.
